Anniversary Edition Loop coffee table by for .
The Loop coffee table was Barber Osgerby's first furniture collaboration and the design behind the creation of Isokon Plus, beginning a successful collaborative partnership. When the Loop Table went into production, it was the first new design to be manufactured and sold by Isokon since the Ernest Race redesign of the Penguin Donkey bookcase in 1963.
The table was a notable success at the London Design Fair in 1997 and has since been acquired by both the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Victoria Albert Museum in London for their permanent collections.
To celebrate 25 years of the Loop Table, Ed Barber and Jay Osgerby have worked closely with Isokon Plus to develop a new blue hue. The blue stain is hand-sprayed onto the table before finishing, allowing the characteristic wood grain to remain visible on the piece.
A limited edition of 25 will be exclusively available at twentytwentyone.
